Life after death, heaven, hell, immortal souls – all are pieces of a puzzle where nothing quite fits until you see the big picture.

 

World religions, from primitive tribal superstitions to Hinduism to Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, all offer their own conflicting versions of what lies beyond this present life.

 

Hope After Death offers the Bible's alternative to popular visions of the hereafter, encouraging viewers and readers to rethink their assumptions about ultimate issues.

  • Man is a holistic being, a "living soul"

  • The "immortal soul" doctrine is based on pagan mythology/philosophy

  • People do not go to heaven, purgatory, or hell when they die

  • Death is an unconscious state, best described in the Bible as "sleep"

  • Life after death requires resurrection, not innate immortality

  • Eternal life is possible for everyone through the saving grace of Christ

  • There is no such thing as Eternal Torment

  • After Judgment, the "lost" will suffer execution ending in oblivion

  • The "saved" will live with God forever in a perfect universe
